Le Samsung Galaxy Nexus est, comme les Nexus doivent l'être, un téléphone qui permet de quasiment tout faire, sans pour autant risquer de compromettre la fonctionnalité de l'appareil. Entendez par là que, quoi que vous fassiez (ou presque, mais on a pas encore trouvé ce qui allait au delà), vous pourrez revenir en arrière sans risquer de transformer votre jouet à 500€ en brique à 500€.
Il devient alors très tentant de bidouiller tout ce qu'on peut dans nos appareils, du bootloader aux roms, et j'en passe.
Et tout cela devient très simple, dés lors que l'on utilise le GNex TOOLKIT, mis à disposition par mskip de XDA, développeur et modérateur général bien connu de ceux qui y trainent un peu.
Tout ce que je vais vous décrire et expliquer ici vient de son sujet dédié sur xda, que vous pourrez trouver (en anglais bien entendu) à cette adresse. En aucun cas je ne veux m'attribuer le mérite de l'outil ni de son tutoriel. D'ailleurs, si vous voulez l'encourager à vous fournir d'autres toolkits comme ça, je vous invite à lui faire un petit don.

Étape 1 : récupérer le bouzin
Vous pourrez le télécharger sur ce lien.
Des miroirs existent, mais il est préférable d'utiliser le lien mis à jour sur xda, quitte à attendre trente secondes ou subir de la publicité avant le téléchargement. Pourquoi ce lien plutôt qu'un miroir ? Premièrement parce qu'il vous assure d'avoir la dernière version en date de l'outil. Deuxièmement, parce que c'est le souhait de l'auteur du logiciel.
Étape 2 : l'utiliser correctement
Si vous avez un peu parcouru le forum, vous aurez pu voir un tutoriel pour passer les SGN en yakju, et dans lequel l'installation des driver passe par l'installation de PDANet. Et bien ici, on va utiliser l'outil directement, puisque c'est une des possibilité qu'il offre.
Donc une fois l'utilitaire téléchargé, dezippez le (emplacement par défaut C:\Galaxy Nexus ToolKit), puis lancez le par le fichier toolkit.bat
Ne le lancez pas en tant qu'administrateur (clic droit, "Exécuter en tant qu'administrateur") sans quoi il ne fonctionnera pas !
Vous pouvez maintenant profiter des options offertes, le tout servi par une interface graphique des plus travaillées (ou pas) :

Tout ce que vous pouvez vouloir faire sur votre SGN est faisable grâce à cet utilitaire !
De plus les libellés sont assez clairs, même en anglais, pour ne pas nécessiter d'approfondissement conséquent. Et si vraiment vous avez un doute, une aide est disponible.

Comme vous l'aurez remarqué, j'ai précisé deux versions différentes dans le titre.
La raison est simple : la verion en téléchargement sur le site (10.1) n'est pas la dernière version. La dernière est actuellement la 10.3, et n'est accessible que pour les versions donateur.
Le but n'est pas pour le développeur de forcer aux dons. Seulement, il maintient des toolkit pour tous les appareils de la gamme Nexus, et il lui est plus facile de fournir les mises à jour par le système d'auto update que de recompiler toute l'application pour proposer un exe d'installation au téléchargement. Le temps requis pour la compilation est énorme, et multiplié par le nombre de toolkits mis à disposition.
Je vous encourage donc une fois de plus à lui faire un don si vous utilisez ses outils régulièrement. Dans le cas contraire, avoir une ou deux version de retard ne devrait pas être trop problèmatique.

- Débloquer votre Bootloader ;
- Sauvegarder ou restaurer votre téléphone ;
- Rooter votre téléphone ;
- Renommer les fichiers de restauration du recovery (voir plus bas) ;
- Flasher le recovery ;
- Faire tout ça en un clic !
